Curragh Racecourse is the headquarters of flat racing
in Ireland, hosting all the five classic races and
fifteen other quality meetings.
Irish Derby Day in July is the single greatest
event in Irish horse racing and should not be missed.
There is written evidence of horse racing at the Curragh
since chariot races were being held in the third century.
